American Legion Auxiliary Community Service

The American Legion Auxiliary works closely with all members of Post 281. We place great importance on community involvement, and participate in many programs and activities for veterans, their families, young people and our community.

A few of the Unit 281 elves on hand to help Santa bring smiles to lots of faces during the St. John of God Social.

Among the recent community service activites in which our Unit has sponsored or participated:
  •  Community Blood Drives for the Red Cross
  •  Packing/mailing boxes of needed items to our military overseas
  •  Veterans Day dinner and program participation
  •  Turkey and Ham Shoot Fund Raisers to benefit the Education Committee
  •  Preparing/delivering food baskets for Thanksgiving
  •  Parties for Vineland Veterans
  •  Christmas Party for St. John of God clients
  •  Participation in Memorial Day ceremonies and flagging veterans’ graves.
