Service Organizations
Christmas Party for St. John of God
The Post 281 Legion family hosted its Annual Christmas Social for the
young adults of the St. John of God community service organization on
December 7, 2007. With Post, Unit and Squadron members on hand to cook, serve and dance, everyone had a fine time.
After feasting on a buffet dinner and an unbelievable
assortment of desserts and other sweets, the 40 young adults were delighted
when Santa Claus showed up to distribute Christmas gifts to all.

When the gifts were finally disbursed, to include music CDs for everyone, DJ Dan Sullivan cranked up his turntables and some serious dancing began!
Even though Santa was still dressed in his Arctic gear, he was enough
of a good sport to join in with his own fancy footwork before continuing his merry journey back to the North Pole.
Before we knew it, the evening was coming to a close, and we ended it in typical American Legion fashion, with everyone joining hands on the dance floor and singing, “God Bless America.”
The next St. John of God Social has already been scheduled for December 5, 2008. We are always open to suggestions for next year's gifts, and for making this event even more entertaining for our special guests!
